Who can play?

Alconbury Sports and Social Club members and their guests are all welcome It is not necessary to have a Handicap to play, however a knowledge of Golf Etiquette and a sense of humour is necessary.

What do we offer?

The Golf Society is a network of sociable golfers associated with the Sports and Social Club. The Society play throughout the year at a mix of venues which are designed to appeal to all players. Competitions are organised for each event with modest prizes. Golf events are circulated via e mail, Facebook, and a dedicated WhatsApp Group to all society members. Venues, Tee Times, and Groups are pre booked. Entry Fees are collected pre-event so players can meet have a coffee and play with all the admin having been sorted. A tour is organised annually for a few nights away with golf.

A Facebook group ‘Alconbury Sports Club Golf’ is also available to see what is happening and when.

A programme of Spring to Autumn events is pre booked and circulated to members.

Where do we play?

The society has previously played golf days at local courses such as Thorpe Wood, Colmworth, Priors Hall Corby, Oundle and Elton Furze. Further afield venues have included Thetford, Swaffham, Heacham Manor, Collingtree Park, The Warwickshire and Ramsdale Park. Annual Tours have taken place in France, Spain and at venues including Durham West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Newcastle, Northumberland, South Wales, Ayrshire, Clydeside, Cheshire, and Cornwall
